Conversational AI
We build conversational interfaces that answer from an agreed source, hand over to a person when they should, and connect to the systems behind the question.
Where it fits
People already ask questions in chat boxes, support inboxes and, increasingly, by voice. A conversational assistant is a way to answer the ones that have a known source, and to collect the rest properly so a person can take them.
That can be a website assistant, a support aid used by the team rather than instead of the team, or an internal assistant over a handbook, a policy set or a product catalogue. Voice is the same problem with a different input: speech has to become text, the answer has to be short enough to hear, and a failure has to be obvious.
Availability outside office hours is often the reason to build it. That describes when the system can respond. It is not a support contract, and it is not a claim that every question will be resolved.
A chat interface on a site, limited to the topics and sources you agree.
Help with common questions, and a clean handoff when the question needs a person.
Answers for staff from an agreed internal source, with the passage available to check.
Spoken questions and spoken replies where voice is actually how the user will ask.
The answer is grounded in content you control, not in whatever the model happens to recall.
A path to a person, a ticket or a queue, with the conversation attached.
Look up an order, an account or a status where an API already exposes it, and only for the user who is allowed to see it.
Handoff
An assistant can take the repeated questions and collect the details of the ones it cannot answer. It cannot take responsibility for a complaint, a judgement, or a customer who needs a person. We design the handoff as a normal outcome, not as a failure hidden behind a confident reply.
The same rule applies internally. A knowledge assistant can point someone at the relevant page. It should not become the only copy of a policy, and it should not invent a rule that is not in the source.
If the conversation needs to find a document or a product rather than chat about it, that is search. If the assistant is a feature of a product you are building, it belongs with AI software development so the interface, the data and the permissions are designed together.
Voice adds speech recognition and a spoken reply. It does not remove the need for a source, a limit, and a way to reach a person.
Conversation, the product it lives in, and the search behind an answer are usually one design.

Semantic search and recommendations that help someone find a relevant result.
Practical AI capabilities and automation inside existing workflows.
No. It can answer repeated questions and prepare a handoff. A person still handles the conversations that need judgement.
No. It means the assistant can respond when a person is not at a desk. Availability targets, if you need them, are a separate operational agreement.
Only if that system exposes an API, and only for a user who is allowed to see that order. We do not give an assistant open access to a database.
